Photocatalysis offers a promising and sustainable approach for selective chemical transformations. In the past decade, semiconductor photocatalysis has demonstrated great potential in organic synthesis.
We focus on synthetic applications of semiconductor photocatalysis and mechanistic insights of the transformations. We are particularly interested in C–H activation which has potential applications in synthesis of pharmaceuticals and fine chemicals. In addition to fundamental research, we will endeavor to scale up the transformations via continuous flow techniques for industrial applications.
